There are a multitude of different types of toys that should be avoided, but some of the more popular ones that are seen more frequently are tennis balls, tug toys, squeaky, and cat toys, as these can a serious injury or even death. Tennis balls are the right size for big mouthed dogs to choke on, and tug toys promote dominant traits of aggression and anger. Squeaky toys if not properly made or if they go through enough wear and tear can actually be broken and have the squeaky part of the toy lodged into a dogs throat, in which case the only way to remove the piece is through surgery. And finally cat toys which are made for cats can also be dangerous. Just because they are made for animals, does not necessarily mean that they can be used for any animals.
