Puppy Toothbrush
Although puppies are adorable, cute and cuddly, sometimes we as dog lovers and owners take it to the next level by letting puppies lick our faces and mouths, but sometimes this situation of bonding can turn awkward when your puppy's breath is no longer bearable, and they got a case of bad breath. Bad breath within dogs is an indicator of various potential health related problems that if not taken care of can progressively get worse. Bad puppy breath can be a sign of improper nutrition, sore gums, or even parasitism. The most important things to understand about a puppy is that they may have bad breath for the first couple of months while teething, as this is quite a common feature of their age, however, if the bad breath persists past the teething stage and into early adulthood it is time to take matters into your own hands.
In which case puppy toothbrushes are an excellent way to prevent and eliminate puppy breath! There are numerous types of toothbrushes and even funky cute toothpaste flavors to go along with it. As corny as it may sound to many, puppies can have their teeth brushed too, and the easiest way to do so is by purchasing some great flavored chicken pate or beef wellington flavored toothpaste as well.
Brushing your puppy's teeth is not necessarily too difficult or rather different from brushing your own. However, it is important that you are relatively gentle with the puppy's gums and teeth, as scrubbing too hard may be painful as they are somewhat sensitive. First, make sure you do not startle or make your dog feel uncomfortable, as it may be awkward for them for you to grab their mouth and pull back their cheeks, do so in a calm manner, as startling or making them feel uncomfortable can make the task only more difficult. Next apply the toothpaste to your finger and run it along their gums so they may acquire the flavor as it will taste good to them. Next apply some to the brush and slowly in a circular motion go back and forth just barely letting some of the bristles get under the gum to give a good clean as brushing their teeth usually lasts about five to seven minutes. There are various toothbrush and toothpaste products, some of the most popular being Dentifresh, Four Paws, and C.E.T., which can all be found online and are very well-known named brands delivering great quality at a low affordable price.
