Smartest Dog Breed
It may come to no surprise that certain types of dogs, just like certain types of people, have special personality or character traits that are prevalent within the breed. As some breeds make for excellent hunters, others perfect lap dogs, and some a friend with tons of energy; different breeds provide different means. However, some dogs are absolutely just intelligent. They are well documented for their extreme ample amount of intelligence that can be displayed through their character, training, and life style. The list of the smartest dogs released by American Kennel Club created a list of the top 10 smartest dogs. The various types of dogs were tested in the same way, in which they were compared to each other and tried to absorb commands in less than five repetitions and obey them. Those who did so were granted the top position amongst the list, and those who did so with less than five repetitions were the top runners. There were a total of 200 different dogs that were tested, and of those only 10 were chosen.
The 10th being the Australian kettle dog, the fifth being the Doberman pinscher, and the number one smartest dog exhibited its intelligence the quickest and most efficient way.
The list is published each year, and some years there may be some position changing and perhaps some switches, but for the most part the most intelligent dog has held the record for quite some time.
The canine genius and mastermind amongst the canine community was rewarded to the Border Collie, who is often times deemed the most energetic as well as loyal dog due to their high standard of work ethic. The Border Collie thrives on the tasks that are provided for them, as they have an excellent will to work and obey commands their boss, in this case owner, tells them. They generally need to have a lot of attention, constant walks, and be played with on a continual basis, as their high level of energy could become somewhat mischievous if left to brew. The Border Collie aside from its great work ethic also is a noble companion, and when measuring the level of intelligence of these dogs, their temperament and personality were well taken into consideration. The Border Collie exhibits tremendous companionship and furthermore has been sought to grow wiser as it gets older, as it is thought that they start to understand the context of things and treat tasks as another day in the working world.
